- Art Place Gallery -
Step into the captivating world of visual art with our exhibitions at the Art Place Gallery on Locust Street in the historic 7th Avenue District of downtown Hendersonville. Immerse yourself in our gallery of beautifully curated 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional works unveiled on the first Saturday of each month. Join us at the opening receptions to meet the artists and celebrate the magic of creativity.

Art Place Studios are full of creativity! Our Asheville Highway facility houses artist studios representing various artistic mediums. Come by and see artists working in their studios.
The Art Place Studios provides a welcoming locale for artists in any medium. From flexible open spaces to private studios, our facility accommodates creativity in various forms. Visit the Art Place Studios Gallery to discover the latest works of art from our resident artists.
- Stuart Glassman Ceramic Studio -
Located in Art Place Studios, the Stuart Glassman Ceramic Studio offers wheel and hand-building classes, workshops, clay firings and studio services with cutting-edge ceramic equipment. Clay and ceramic artists can enjoy use of all the equipment and tools plus, firing services with a monthly membership.

Discover a world of artistic possibilities. Is there an artistic medium you would like to try, but you don’t know where to find classes? Our year-round classes and workshops offer a multitude of choices. Our outstanding instructors, coupled with our well-equipped classrooms, provides you with a hands-on, personalized learning experience.
Life Drawing Salon
Join us for Life Drawing and Portrait Salons every Saturday, where talented facilitators lead informal drop-in sessions. check out the schedule under the classes. Life drawing is currently taking place at Studio 116 in E. Flat in collaboration with the Art League.
- Public Art: ArtScape Banner Program -
Experience local art in public spaces with The Art League’s ArtScape Banner Program, featuring more than 60 banners which showcase local adult artists in Hendersonville’s Historic downtown. Henderson County youth artists are featured Jackson Park, the largest municipal-owned park in Western North Carolina. Join us each spring as we reveal our new ArtScape banners and host an exhibit of the artwork used to create the Adult banners.
- Art in the Community -
Our quarterly member exhibits at the Henderson County Main Library and the annual exhibit at Grace Mills River are examples of how we bring local art to unexpected public spaces.
- La Vie en Rosè -
The Art League’s collaboration with Marked Tree Vineyard in Flat Rock for the La Vie en Rose’ annual Arts and Music Festival is a testament to our commitment to community engagement.
- Pop Ups -
Experience art in unexpected places with our Pop-Up Collaborative exhibits in venues around Hendersonville. From Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle to Miniatures and Fire and Wood, these events bring one-of-a-kind art to the community
Keep an eye out for our Plein Air Painters who explore scenic locations during the warmer months with on-site painting.
Volunteer and Participate in Special Events
Monthly Art for Lunch programs provide insight to art-related topics, art demonstrations, and the business of being an artist.
The Art League relies on volunteers -- artists and art enthusiasts in our community. We invite you to become an integral part of our creative community by volunteering your time and skills. There are numerous opportunities to get involved and make a meaningful impact in various aspects of our organization. Whether you have a passion for art, event planning, social media, or administration, we have a place for you!

The Art League’s Sustaining Partners program is a great opportunity for individuals, businesses, and organizations to support our art programs while aligning charitable giving to their interests. We offer a range of funding levels and options, which include sponsorships and advertising in brochures for special art events like ArtScape, Celebrate Art, and La Vie en Rosé.
