Art League of Henderson County

ArtScape Youth Banner Project

ArtScape Hendersonville, a program of the Art League of Henderson County, will this year be adding Youth Banners to the annual exhibit which will be hung in Jackson Park.  This program was made possible by a grant from the Community Foundation of Henderson County.  Twelve of ArtScape’s colorful and artistic banners (with 12-24 images) will be selected and hung inside Jackson Park along the playground area.

Artists may submit two pieces of art from now through Dec. 15. The artists must be 17 years old or younger, in grades 1-12 and live in Henderson County. There is no charge to apply. This program has been made possible by a grant from The Community Foundation of Henderson County.

Artists interested in participating are encouraged to learn more and apply by visiting the ArtScape website: Paper and digital applications are available through the website. Upon acceptance, the artist’s work, name and grade, along with the banner’s sponsor, will appear on a durable-vinyl banner.

Banners will remain in the park for the season.

ArtScape Hendersonville is a community-building project adding interest and color to the downtown area, showcasing locally created art and helping make the city an exciting and unique art destination. The annually changing cornucopia of 40 banners waving on Main Street, the side Avenues and the Seventh Avenue Historic District, create a unique twist on an outdoor gallery experience.
